BIRMINGHAM MANMURDERS WIFEBirmingham, Aug. 1—Mrs.,Cain Russel), a well known worn-1*an living cn a farm two miles southeast of Birmingham is dead and her hus 'and is in the Van Buren county jail at Keosauqua charged with the murder as the result of a quarrel which took 1 place at the Russel home about 9 a. m. today.Varying reports reaching here agree thal the couple were in an argument when Mr. Russell tired the gun. The bullet struck his wife through the h »ad and she died almost instantly. One version of the affair is that the man and woman were qu irreling over the poisoning of a dog.The sheriff of Van Buren county was called and took Russell in charge.
