Edgar Garrison Secures Fine Gloricm Position on the Panama Canal, He Leaves For New York Thursday Word was received yesterday from Me Edgar Garrison of Logan that he had been appointed to a fine clerical position under the U S. Government to work in connexa tion with the construction of the Panamas canal. ‘The position pays 81500 per year and expenses Mr. Garrison has accept ed the appointment and expects to leave for New York on Thursday sailing from there to the isthmus. While the climate conditions at Panama are not good, so below Edgar has the robust constituiiem necessary and that the appointment opens up abne field of opportunity for him. He is a fine stenographer, has legal training, and much experience in clerical work. If he retains his health there is no question but that he will prove a valu able man for the Government and we looke to see his rapid advancement. We peace with his many trends in wishing bist bon voyage and the best of fortune in Biss new field of labor,
