in Southern lowa. The clerk of the supreme court has forwarded to the clerk of the district court of Wapello county the procedendo in the two cases of contempt against “Stormy” Jordan. These cases were taken to the supreme court on a wiit of certiorari, the lower court having impossd a fine of $500 in each case. The supreme court affirms the decision of the lowar court, and the prosecuting attorneys in the case, Messrs. Coen and Emery, claim that this means that “Stormy” must put up or serve 300 days in jail. These cases did not come under the general pardon of Governor Larrabee, and the attorneys say they will at once commence proceedings to enforce the sentence of the court. Action, they say, will be taken tomorrowmorning.
