Iy rush down, to the Courier office and insert an advertisement to the effect that he had received notification of the revocation, an act that had to beicomplied with to put such revocation ; in force. * jIts dark hint that there was a scheme in not notifying the Courier is on par with its able arguments on the tariff question and makes just as muchamusement for its readers.»Althouge a little late, we publish the order of the governor in full as recorded on the books of the clerk cf the district court:State of Iowa, ) Executine Depart met. \ To all who may see these present s. Greeting:Whereas, on the second day of January, A. A viaduct is cheaper, better and more appropriate in every way,“Stormy” Jordon has had purely republican luck, if not a fisherman’s luck ever since he allied himself with J. Ellen Foster and “Farmer” Wheeler. First, Gov. Bdies revoked the conditional pardon of #ex-Governor Larrabee and now comes a procedendo from the supreme court affirming the decision of the lower court in fining him §500 each in two cases of contempt. Those two cases were n^ver pardoned and the prosecuting attor-nies here say they will begin ' action | tomorrow and “Stormy” must either l “put up” or go up—for about 300 days.; With “Stormy” and Frank Pierce both in jail, what about the “letter that never came?”i -A vote for the republican party this fall means a vote for the continuance of the whisky curse. It means the sending out cf this state more than a million dollars annually that legiti-matoly belongs in the state. It means the ere a. ion of a state constabulary worse than that which curses unhappy Ireland and gives that constabulary rights to invade the privacy of our citizens such as would put the government of Russia to shame. In a word it means a vote for the ruin of public business, the murder of public enterprise, the canonization of outlawry and the debasement of the righto of citizenship. The rotten rluer of republicanism must be removed from the body politic and removed at once.fSealI
