This is caifed Stilts Avenue, from tbe itaiantttic formation* which are found In it.On leaving Stillo Avenue, an avenue is entered which it three miles in length, and which grad a ally aaceoda for lie entire distance. The walls, door, and muling of this avenue are hoed with alabaater flower# of a variety of forms and of indrecnbabis beasty, many of which are ovw eight locoes in diameuir. Like the flowers in Cleveland*# Cabsoet in the Mammoth Cave, they are composed of the sulphate of lime, and are of a pare white color. On the floor of this avenue, successive crops of stucco dowers may be ob served resting one above another, whioh have detached them selves from the wails and ceiling, ♦ram time u note, by their own weight. These dowers always form »u avenues destitute of mots-torr, and wub exceeding siuwoeM.
