Uy LiiC cum Uivjuuuiiu jl uta^vvio yi aivit a vm.A Spaniih Privateer (which had taken and fent to the Havannah an Englilh Sloop that had fail’d from Jamaica for the Havannah, with proper Credentials as a Flag of Truce, in order to redeem the Mate of a Ship left as Hof-tage for its Ranfom) engaging his Majefty’s Sloop the Drake, Capt, Clark, under Port Morant Keys, and being fiiperior in Number, and taking Advantage of the Drake’s Arsi Cheft being blown up on the Quarter Deck, boarded her, and poffeffed her a Quarter of an Hour, when the Englifh Captain and Officers with a few Marines made a Sally and retook her, and foon after took, the Privateer, and brought her to Jamaica. Many were killed on both Sides, the Captaiti of the Privateer was fo wounded in his Legs, that they were obliged to cut them off, and his Lieutenant died of his Wounds.
