Dr. Wilson named to ‘Who’s Who’foNEWPORT — Dr. Eldon R. Wilson has been named to “Who’s Who in Religion.Dr. Wilson and his wife have pastored churches in Port Arthur, Texas, Hion, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Their last pastorate was New Covenant Church in Columbus, Ohio. They pastored in the Mohawk Valley from 1965 to 1970, and Mr. Wilson also taught elementary school during that time.Dr. Wilson left Columbus in 1984 to engage in itinerant ministry. His ministry has taken him to 50 states and 119 countries of the world.He is a member of board of directors of Good News Mission in Bogota, Colombia. He is an executive of Team Missions International of Elktron, Md.He is the author of a booktitled “The New Creation* and is presently writing a book titled “Five-Fold Ministry.* He preaches in Spanish as well as English.Dr. Wilson and his wife have returned to Newport and are restoring the historic Fenner home.He was bom in Tieton, Wash. He attended Pentecostal Bible Institute, Tupelo, Miss., International Bible College, San Antonio, Texas, SUNY-Oneonta, and Sussex College, Hayward’s Heath, England. He holds doctorates in philosophy and divinity. He was ordained in 1956 by Emmanuel Church, Tieton, Wash.He and his wife are also graduates of Spanish Language Institute of Guadalajara, Mexico.
