Elijah MaysFuneral services for Elijah Mays, 63, of 119 Needs, La Marque, at Fields Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial was in Rising Star Cemetery in Texas City.Mr. Mays died July 24 in John Sealy Hospital.He was born Jan. 7, 1911, in Texas. He was an employee of the La Marque Independent School District.Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Susie Mays of San Francisco, Calif.; four brothers, King Mays of Galveston, T. C. Mays and Freddie Mays of La Marque and Oscar Mays of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ennis of Dallas and Mrs. Georgie Baysinger of San Francisco.
