CELINA, Aug. 1—Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Jolly of west of Celina re ceived a telegram from the gov ernment telling them that their son, Pfe. Vincent M. Jolly, 23, died June 29 in Saipan, from wounds received in action. He enlisted Nov. 11, 1942, and was sent directly to Hawaii for his basic training. He took part in the invasion of the Gilbert is lands. He attended Celina high school and before being Inducted was an employe at the St. Marys Mfg. Co Surviving are the parents, two, brothers, Allen and Leonard, Jr, at home six voters, Mrs Frances Fennig, Violet, Velma, Virginia, Bonnie and Rose Mary, all at home.
