EUNION OF BISHOP FAMILY The Bishop family had a re union at the Baptist Encampment Grounds Sunday, July 28, 1940. Mrs. J. W. Bishop had nine of or eleven children with her. The children present were: Bill Bish o, Mrs. Joe Sanders, Mrs. Willis Fill, Jim Bishop, Mrs. Ernest Ward, Mrs. Willie Low, all of reward: Mrs. Earlie Haines of Ondon, Mrs. Jim Pryor of Ar esia, N. Mex., and Mrs. George Parker of Lockhart. Those of the family present: Mr. Bill Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sanders and son, Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Gill and children, ‘elma Lee, Ola May, Ora Fay, and ‘ilie, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bishop nd children, Selma, Edna, Mar aret and Marie; Mr. and Mrs nest Ward and son, Dee: Mr. nd Mrs. Willie Low and children, Meta, Ora Fay, Elmer, Ray and oe; Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Short: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Low; Mr. and Mrs. Dorman Sanders and daugh er, Dortha; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hubbard; Mr. and Mrs. Henry White and children, Dee David nd William Louis; Mrs. Mattie teagan and son, James Edwin, Sr. and Mrs. Hubert Hinkle and children, Barbara, H. Friends present were Mrs. Sam Low, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Low and children, LaMona, and La Juan: Miss Allene Hurd, Mrs. Vida Mae Pope, James Correll, Hardhell White, Leonard Hurd, Dorma Lee Miles, Mrs. Chester Pope and son, Larry; Charley Baker, Mr. and Mrs. David Sides and daughter, Vernell, Mr. and Mrs. John Low and children, Jean and Doris, all of Menard, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffer son, Mrs. Thurman Short, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Simmer of Mason. L. M. Simmer furnished music for the crowd with a very odd in strument called a “ducimer,” which he said was over one hun dred years old. Miss Matilda Spoon of Wichita Falls is spending a few days here visiting her mother, Mrs. Mettie Spoon. Mr. and Mes.ili Benchoff Spent the week-end at Sanderson visiting her parents. Mr. and Merz, Jd. M. Corder, Herbert H. Mears is expected home from Abilene today after spending several days i the Abi lene hospital. Miss Grace Shaver of Sohn be came the bride of Carol White last Sunday at 5 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Brady. They were attended by their fam lies and immediate friends. Miss Shaver was employed this past year in the Rocksprings school After a short wedding trip they will make their hore at San Saba where Mr. White has ranch in terests. 20 A striking photo of the recently completed residence of Mr. and Mrs. W.
