It appears that two c»£s he had tethered got tangled in a wire 'nee, and while extricating them the gun vploded and caused injuries to his neefc, hieb proved fatal. Mr. Stevens waa }rn in London, England, and be came to lia State 12 years ago. He wns well iwrn as a dairyman in Claremont for yen years, hut for the last12 months: he ad been farming nt Corrigan.
