DEATH RECORD.Doagftertf.Fetor Dougherty died lust night at 8:45 o*olock at his late residence, 810 West Piper street after a long illness with arterio-sohlerosis (hardening of the arteries), aged 70 fears,4 months and 20 days.I -1Funeral services will be held' Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock a81tlalt;the residence, conducted by Rev. H.Crida:NoFfttlnBftiiG. Waggoner and held under theauspices of the Elks lodge. Interment will be made in OakWood cemetery.Obituxu*y.Peter, son of wiliiam and HannahDougherty, was born in County Donegal Ireland, March 2, ,1847, and there attended a subscription school and attained his rudimentary education At the age of twelve years he left home and upon coming to this)0 country spent five months ih Fulton county and worked on a farm Eater and at the time of the great Chicago *-fire in 1871 he was a student at the,0’ Porter Telegraph School in that city October 3 of the next year Mr.■Dougherty was united in marriage f1 to Mary Jane Seaburn, who was born , c land schooled in this county and who CtI passed away 11 years ago In 1h80they moved to Mound township where he took the township census and was (again census enumerator in 189*He. was engaged in farimng in Chalmers township until January, 190 4 when he moved to this city and spentthe last years of his lifo in reti.e-mont He was the owner of t« u building lots described as lot 3, selt; lion 86, Emmet townshipFraternally he was affiliated w».hthe B P O E , I O O K .
