Was the Odd Fellows Dedication Ex ercises, weeenen say, at Conners ville. GRAND PARADE, GOOD MUSIC. SPLENDID SPEECHES, a man DEGREE Wednesday was an ideal day; the refreshing showers had cooled the atmosphere and brushed the frowns out of the brows of the people. Everything and everybody was bright and cheery. Crowds came in from near one far to witness the grand Odd Fellows parade and par ticipate in the public dedication of the Grand Temple recently erected by the Odd Fellows of Fayette Lodge. At shortly after the hour appointed, the parade which numbered about five hundred, headed by the News Boys Band, of Indianapolis, made a splendid appearance and made every Odd Fellow feel proud of the order. After the parade and a short respite for the noon meal, imposing public exercises were held in the Banquet Hall on the second floor of the New Temple Building. Addresses by Hon. Milton Trusler and Grand Instructor W. H. Talbott, of Orleans were worthy prominent places in literature and were most bight appreciated by the great crowd who listened to them. The evening was spent in the New Temple by degree work conferred by Marion Lodge of this state. All in all Wednesday was a grand and profitable day for Odd Fellow ship in eastern Indiana, for nearly every county southeast of Indian apolis was represented. The happy faces, the heartfelt shake of the hand and the brotherly spirit made manifest by every act of the large number of Odd Fellows in our city impressed the public of the real merits of the order and the friends this meeting has won for the Order can hardly be estimated. No words of praise can be too strong for the Fayette Lodge. They have beautified our city with a splendid edifice: they have popularized our city by bring ing a great crowd of strangers here to the dedication meeting, and they have edified the order by the high grade of exercises and work rendered at the dedication ceremonies.
