Williams, of this city, had a very narrow escape from death Sunday at the residence of Mr. F. M. Quarles* at Howell. Aft it was she in laid up with injuriesof a very serious character.A little daughter of Mr. Quarles1 was riding a horse about the yard and the little Williams girl was playing near by. As the horse paunfed near her she struck it with a switch and the animal made a vicious kick, striking the child on the arm and chest knocking her down and rendering her unconscious for.a time.Prompt assitance was renderedand w hat was at first thought to be a fatal injury proved to be less serious and the little girl* w hile suffering greatly, is getting along very well.
