Tho Guards Commissary.The following will show the amount ami variety of food consumed by the Alpena Guards uml their guests during the Mackinac encampment. They left here on the night of the 17th and returned on the night of tho 25th. The number of persons cared for was over 70. Tho State gives each man $2 per day while in service, and tho company hire their own cooks, buy their own food, stoves, dishes, etc. At the end of the encampment tho total cost of the food is ascertained and each member of the company who was at the curarupinent in assessed an equal share.
