NEVADA DEMOCRAT.f Thk Eahtkhn Boundary Scrtky.—The State surveying party, under Surveyor General Hig-ley. to determine and mark the eastern bound* ary of the State, have returned to Sacramento, and disbanded for the present. The boundary was pretty accurately fixed, and the survey ex tended from Lake Bigler to Beckwourlh’s Pass, i It has been fouud that at least $500,000 worth j of property, which should have been taxed in | our State, has heretofore escaped assessment.! This property Is principally in cattle which j have been grazing in Sierra and other mountain valleys, which are decided to be iu Califot* nia, and it is probable that a large portion of Iloney Lake Valley will also be found to be a part our territory. At the late seseiou of Con greas, $100,000 was appropriated to survey the entire eastern boundary, and the Commissioner with his party, is expected in this State about the first of September. When they arrive, they will net in concert with the State party under Mr. Higley.
