WADE RAISEf-CLARA FERGUSON WEDDING TAKES PLAGE TONIGR1(From Wednesday’s Examiner)One of the most brilliant events 01 society will occur this evening, when the pretty wedding of Miss Clara Augusta Ferguson and Wade Hampton Ramsey takes place, at 9:00 o’clock at the Yuma Methodist church. Rev. J. A. Crouch, an intimate friend of the bride’s family, will read the marriage lines under a canopy of sweet peas and ferns before a company of fifty or more of Yuma's Bociety rolk.The affair Is the culmination of a very pretty romance and is causing a considerable stir. The bride is one of Yuma's most popular young ladies, graduate of the Yuma Union high school in 1912. and is well known to 1 nil. Intimate friends of the bride's family are ably assisting with the preparations, and the affair will be one of beauty as well as Interest. The church will be a bower of bloom and a dainty repast, consisting of ehickeu salad, sandwiches, fruit punch, ices and cakes.The bride's cake is a beauty to be hold, and will piav an important part in the elegant repast. A novel idea has been carried out in the bride and groom cake, artistically decorated and containing a thimble, a ring and ' n dime, in compliance with the legendary suiterstltution, and will add interest to the affair.!The luncheon will be served at the Dixie refreshment parlors, which will he abloom with lovely roses, sweet peas and ferns.The young couple are the recipients i oi a lovely assortment of presents.. too numerous to mention, and of unusual value—sumptuous cut glass, ex- iiuislte and attractive silverware, handwork of hammered brass and lovely painted china, as well as many larger gifts of furniture, etc.—all tokeus of the love and respect which the numerous friends hold for the bride and groom.Miss Clara Is a young lady of talent and accomplishment, and is the only daughter of Mrs. E. Ferguson.The groom has been a resident of Yuma for several years and is well known among the U.S.R.S. circles, being in the employ of the government, at Laguna dam. He is known as a young man of excellent habits and of much promise—a fitting cavalier to carry away the heart and hand of the fair Clara, and hearty congratulations are showered upon him.The ceremony, which takes place at the church aB before mentioned, will be unusually beautiful. The bride will bo gowned in an exquisite creation of white crepe de chine, with shadow lace, with orange blossoms and a very dainty bridal veil of tule. and will carry an arm bouqnet of bride's roses. Miss Olive Alexander will be bridesmaid, lovely in nile green chauieuse with cream shadow ace. ChriB Gilmore will act as best man and the ushers will be Joe Gilmore and Will Adams.The wedding march will be played by Miss Nora Horan, who will wear i bine chiffon for the elite occasion: and Mrs, Italian], in exquisitely simple while, will sing O.
