John Mishler moved his barn west a short distance last week. Vern Myers was at home. John Berkey visited Elsie Culp Sunday. Orville Metzler was hauling gravel last week. Oliver McDowell and hands will remodel Daniel Billman’s house The Glimenhaga funneral was largely attended Sunday. Matie and Ruby Gordon were in town and attended the last day of school at Ehrets Friday. Matie says nothing compares with Burk ville, even Elkhart. Harvey Culp and wife, John Berkey and Elsie Culp called on D.S. Culps Sunday evening Hallet and Treva Myers, two of our young scholars went fishing Friday afternoon and caught 16, maybe because they were barefoot Tobias Johnson, who has been in Kansas on a land seeking tour, unexpectedly returned last week. Charles Metzler spent Saturday night at David A. Culp ly although he gets about with the aid of crutches. We hope he may soon be able to throw them aside Reuben and Martha Martin, of St. Joe county, spent Sunday with their sister, Lizzie, at the home of Aaron Reeds. Frank Stahley was on our street Monday assessing those he miss ed on his first round. Chris Weaver and wife, of Un- Center spent the sabbath with his parents, Christian Weavers. GEORGE WAGNER was born Nov. 9, 1854, died April 21, 1908, aged 53 years, 5 months and 12 days. He was married to Catherine Wag ner April 19, 1885; to this union were born three daughters, Mar tha, Pauline and Emma. He leaves a bereaved wife, two daugh ters and two brothers, Isaac and William, and a host of friends to mourn his departure. One dau ghter, one brother and two sis ters preceded him to the spirit world. He was born and raised on the west part of the farm where he died. A successful farmer and a good neighbor, kind in disposi tion his loss is felt the more keen ly. He was a member of the Lu theran Reform church which he joined in his early days. The bereaved family wishes to return their sincere thanks to the neighbors and friends for their kind assistance during the sick ness and burial of our loved hus band and father.
