Stone, left New Haven on Wednesday morning, at 7 o dock, and arrived at New York 21 minutes after 12—doing the whole distance, eighty-six miles, in four hours and thtrty-nine minutes. In consequence of this early arrival, passengers who break-fusieflin New Haven were enabled to arrive in Philadelphia via lrenton Rail Road, in time for sapper. The Steamer New York oir New Haven.—We made a slight mistake in our paper of Saturday, noticing the short trip recently made by the steamer New \ ork fiom New Haven to tins city. The trip was performed as follows:—Left New Haven precisely at four minutes past 7 o'clock, and amvsd at New \ ork 17 minutes past 11 A. M., doing the wholedistance of 86 miles in 4 hoars and 23 minutes. This is the shortest passage ever made between New York and New Haven. It is also true that to those who have ever steamed it with Captain Stone, the longest passage seems always too short. Such are the effects of good company.
