“Forests Gray or Forests Green” Is the Very Attractive Dis play Prepared A very attractive forestry exhibit has been prepared by officials of the Beaverhead National forest and is on display at the Andrus hotel The exhibit shows portions of a national forest with its heavy timber, tower ing mountains and green hillsides. In the distance is a lofty mountain peak on the crest of which is a look out station. Below is the valley upon which herds of livestock can be seen grazing and the homesteaders’ hum ble cabin constructed from logs taken from the nearby forests. But there is a blot upon the scene which should drive a lesson home to everyone who keep them display. It is that of the burned area of the beautiful forest the slopes of the large mountains being left charred and barren from the devestation of burning forest shown in the scene. Almost every forest fire is caused from pearlessness. This is forest pro tection--week and every man, woman or child who go into the forest should resolve now, to be cautious and see that the other fellow does skewise in another window is a display of educational value showing samples of many, ‘kinds of timber grown in all parts of this country and many specimens of timber grown in this country, . Mr. Foltz, deputy super visor of the Beaverhead ’ National forest designed and” installed both displays and he has marked on ‘var ioush specimens the ages of the wood. Everyone should make it a point to view this exhibit as well as the other one.
