Dr. Prver saThe tendency to restrict the usepf perfume to the enhancement of feminine charm is a bar to one of the chief sources of pleasure of our modern manhood. That the preponderance of vile odors over pleasant ones is responsible for much disease of the respiratory organs is readily admitted by most medical men. The sense of smell is just as much God-given as that of sight or hearing, and should be just as assiduously cultivated. The old tradition of our unclean ancestors that love of perfume by man is effeminate is being discarded by a growing percentage of intelligent people. Maeterlinck, thegreat Belgian poet, is creditedwith the following: “It is not too much to say that future generations will enjoy, at a small cost, brilliant compositions of ‘odor harmony’ not unlike the musical concerts orgrand opera of today.”I carry the very best in perfumes and toilet requisites.
