Piuttcville, April 25th, 1858. T]ie meeting opened with prayer by I to v. P. S. Mather,, when, on motion, the President, J. L. Pickard, 'Appointed Messrs, S. Mitchell, M. Stephens and W, W, Howard a committee to no mi u a to officers for tho ensuing year. Tho canvassing ngont of the county, Rev. A. It. MoBlier, being called upon, RiibiniCited Ida annual report, together with some very appropriate remarks. Tho report was then received and adapted* .Tho County Treasurer, J, H, Bernne, thor-mado his annual report, which was received anlt;l referred to an auditing committee, consisting of Messrs. B.F. Chase. John Stephens and N. Goodrich.Tho state ngon t, Rcv.J. Hinton, then addressed tho meeting in an able, and highly interesting manner, after which the committee on Humiliations reported the following names of persons for officers for the ensuing year:—Prof. J, L* Pickard, President; Samuel Mitchell, Vico President; W, II. Chapman, Secretary : J. II. Bovnna, Treasurer, all of whom were duly elected.On motion; A. R. Mofibor was requested to prepare Ids tcport for -publication, nnd the editors of tho Plattcvillo Examiner and tho Grant County I/erald be respectfully requested to publish tho same, together with tho nnrnea of the officers ter tho ensuing year...W* II.
