POTOMAC SEMINARY.SUMMER SESSION • 0--THE Exercises of the Potomac Srmixary commence the second Monday of MAV, 1863 — End Ihe second Friday of October, 1833.The School consists of various department* and I lie pupils are instructed as follows :1st Uuadk- Learning to read and spell—at $3 00 per rpiaitcr2d Gra or—Employed in read* ill. Spelling, Writing anil the fundamental rule? and ttie tables of Arithmetic, 4 00 do.'01 Graph--Engaged in Grammar,Geography,the advanced rules of Arithmetic, with Exercises in spelling and defining words,and English Composition, 5 00 dollh Gram-:—Studying Bellos Letters,Bogie,Mcntnl Philosophy, Natural Philosophy, Chemistry, Mineralogy and Astronomy in text books for female schools, G 00 do3th Graph—Instructed in the Greek. Latin, and French languages—and the various branches of Mathematics, 9 00 doI’he higher grades, may, if desired, include either of th? lower that shall be fitting.Music Drawing are taught: Tuition extra. The pupils are prepared for the active business ol life, or for a Sophomore standing in any College.Tuition payable at the end of each quarter. For Contingent Expenses of the School— pens, pencils nnd fire,flcc., each pupil is expected to |mv at the commencement of each qtinr-ter — */.* Cents.I’he Session closes %vith a public examination of three days.'I he PrincipaI desires an interview with the parent or guardian of the pupil, at, or before the time of *’nrolment, at which time the charges for tuition commence. The pupils are expected to attend public worship at stated times on the Sabbath, and once during the week; nnd unless otherwise arranged with the principal at the time of entering School, they will be expected to attend the church of the principal of the Seminary. It is greatly to the advantage of the pupils that they be present at the opening of the Session ; and that they be not taken from the School for visiting during the Session.Rev. WM. 11.
