MAD DOGS.We have! just learned with regret that our friend Chas. Rosa, resid-in the south-east pafrt of this county, has wlthftt the part week, lost sever af head’ of cattle and hor-aes, by tlifc ftltb of a dog, Having the hydrophobfa. Such incidents ate of late cotnmon occurrences, and we hope, that if our laws are too inefficient to reach the evil, that every man, Will take upon himself the responsibility of adopting a lawby the force of arm* to remedy this much dreaded malady among the canine race. As a sure preventive against the further spread of this disease, we would lecommend (he cur-tailing of tkfeir tail* by severing them just ofehind the ears.We are gratified to learn,that the new board of Trustees, design the payment of a tax upon all dogs running at large, without owners anda necessary standing collar, and •ther et edtares V By this enactment, we have no further doubt ih regard to having sldfe-walks.'
