Whitehead of Kreole, Miss., has won the right to wear the Wings and Boots of the United States Army Paratroops. He has just completed four weeks of jump training during which time he made five jumps from a plane in flight, the last being n tactical jump at night, involving a combat problem on landing.The communication goes on to explain that jumping at the Parachute School has been steadily developed into a recognized war science and that jumping involves less than one percent chance of injury while training at the school.»
