The outside will be brick and the inside stone, put together with iron dowels. The roof is to be slate and cornice galvanized iron. The whole to be warmed bv steam, low presure, so that it is expected that it is to be in all respects a model jail. The Sheriff’s residence is to be placed in front of the jail and is to contain Sheriff’s office, and six rooms for bis family, with cellar underneath to contain steam heating apparatus, fuel etc.It is also to be built of brick, with slate roof, and all complete to answer the requirements.
