Johnsons honoredon 50th anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Theodore Johnson of iHavelock were guests of honor at an open house In observance of their 50th wedding anniversary April 9 in the Havelock Methodist Chureh. Hosts for the occasion were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Johnson of Marathon, Mr. arid Mrs. Roy Johnson of Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Johnson of Fonda and Mr, and Mrs. Charles DeVaul of Omaha; Neb. One hundred and sixty guests signed the guest book.Mrs. Lilly Gibson acted as emcee. A piano selection was played by Galen Johnson. Mrs. Leo Johnson gave a reading. Theo Johnson and son Leo played a piano and violin selection entitled “It Is No Secret 1” A reading by Mrs. H. G. Breehler concluded the program.The serving table was covert* ed with a white doth and centered with • an arrangement of gold! and white mums with the lettering “50 years on a streamer from the table. Gold candles flanked both sides of the centerpiece. A gold service set also added attractiveness to the tableMrs. Charles DeVaul dipped the punch which was a gold color. Presiding at the coffee service were Mis. Ray Woodin and Mrs. J. E. Stridlbeck. Mrs. George Johnson Sr. was the dining room hostess. Kitchen hostesses were members of the Wednesday Club and other friends of the couple,A white crocheted cloth covered the gift table with a cen*. terpiece of a money tree. Bouquets of yellow mums also adorned the table.Guests included two sisters, Mrs. Elna Johnson of Des Moines and Mrs. J. El Stridbeck of Chicago, 111. Other guests were from Mallard, Pocahontas, Fonda, Ayrshire, Plover, Pomeroy, Lytton, Newell, WebsterCity, Ames, Marathon, Marion, Havelock, and Omaha, Neb,
