Miss Cole then introduced William “Cat Johnson, captain of the football team, James Perry, captain of the basketball team, Coach Walter Minder of the Al-Wood Junior high school, and Dan-Hegwood who assisted Coach Turner during games, all of whom gave brief remarks.Coach Elery “Gabby. Boynton of Knox college was introduced and gave a very interesting talk concerning - his coaching experiences, and pointed out the responsibilities of players toward their coach, responsibilities of fans, and*'responsibilities of the coaching staff. He definitely placed the building of -boys above winning games. His remarks were received enthusiastically by the large audience.
