25.000 GALLON TANK SHIPPEDTO DESERT.A 25,000 gallon tank car was one of the fifteen cars on a special train that left Holly wood cari ying 600 players and others in Pa rani.aunt’s “Beau Sabreur” company, to its third location camp on the Mojave desert.Before leaving the Los Angeles Southern Pacific station, the tank car was fiKled with fresh water, and distilled water ice. This was necessary so that the company could be provided with fresh cold water during the several days required for the completion of the battle scenes of the picture.Redrock is surrounded by miles of desert sand and sagebush and every possible step was taken to prevent prostrations from heat end injury to the celluloid film under the broiling sun.John Waters, director, and production supervisor MlJton E. Hoffman, heeded the big company, •which includes among its players Gary Cooper, Evelyn Brent and William Powell.
