MRS. E. W. MCillARMID IS ELECTED PRESIDENTMade Head of Woman’s Club for the Nest Year at Pleasant Meeting Last FridayThe Woman's Club spent a most pleasant afternoon Friday as the guest of .Mrs. J. B. Earwoocl and Miss Elizabeth Anderson at the home of Mrs, Earwood on Heber street.The opening number of the program was '‘Religious Orders of Italy/' by Mrs. Batcher, followed by Verdi's “Ave-Maria/’ which was sung by Miss Lightner. Mrs. Andrews gave the Cluba brief talk upon the Catacombs, then Mrs. Moss and Mrs. Yeager played Rossini’s Taneriet/’ Mrs. Patterson read a paper upon the ‘'Masterpieces of Italian Sculpture/* and the last number of this interesting program was an original story by Mrs. Warren,The election of officers for the ensuing year was held, and each member who possibly coiild be present was there, to use her ballot where it would be appreciated. The lucky winners were: Mrs. E. W. McDiarmid,..president, Mrs. J. Lewis Bumgardner, vice president; Mrs. Chris MacTaggart, Treasurer; Mrs.'Herndon Yeager, secretary; Mrs. Win. Taylor, assisted by Mrs. George Moss, music director; Mrs E. W. Merrill and Mrs. W. W. Hume, executive committee.Those present were: Misses Katherine Lightner, Mollie MeCroery and Ethel McDiarmid; Mesdames Wm. Taylor, Chris McTaggart, Herndon Yaeger, George Moss, E. M. Merrill, W. S.
