Senator John A. Bell Dead, Morganfield, Ky. April 24.—State senator John A. Bell died at his home in this city. Mr. Bell was the young est senator in the state legislature, having just reached the constitutional age, 30 years. He was a loyal admirer of William Goebel. In returning home from Frankfort at the close of the last memorable session of the legisla ture he and his infant girl contracted preamonia. His baby stecumbed j in a few days, but he struggled against the disease until Monday. He was a model young man and an enthusiastic democrat. His future was bright po litically and otherwise, and he will be missed by this community. He was a prime favorite in this district, being popular even with his political oppo nenta.
