The Oldest end the Newest.Among the many improvements in Lynnville this spring none have given her people generally so much real satisfaction as the great changes that have taken place in her mill, which has always been the pride of the village. W. K. Wagaman, of Pella, a man of means and a miller of many years experience, recently purchased the property of Mr. Craven, and at an outlay of about 11,500 has thoroughly remodeled the mill and improved its facilities by the latest improved machinery, so that now the oldest mill in the county has become really the newest. It is situated on the south bank of North Skunk river, and the machinery is run by waterpower. The old dam, which was put in in 1846, by Uncle Johnny Sparks, has been made as good as new, and far better than it ever was. A large Swing Sifter on the upper floor does the bolting for the entire business. The proprietor’s son, P. D. Wagaman, arrived last week from Pella, with his family, and will operate the 'mill, making his home in Lynnville. The old mill was built by Uncle Johnny Sparks about flfty-three years ago, and in an early day it ground the grists for the pioneers for fifty miles 'round.U44U
