Petti john and Dora B. Belbe. This brings the first oall to Hov. P. Smith, the new pastor of the Metbodiat congregation, to perform a duty of ibis kind since his arrival at this place. Hov. Smith and wife, with the family and other (friends arrived just before 12 m., found all ready to the hoar. The Misses Belbe are well and favorably known in Phillipsbnrg and throsgb* out Phillips oounty and are very highly respected, one having been a teacher for mAoy years in their own immediate neighborhood, the other has been constantly with her aged parents at home. Mr, Smith is also known as one of our best young men and is among tho first settlors of the country. Rev. Pettijobn lives in Norton and is engaged in ministerial work iu tha Church of Christ, a worthy and competent young moo. All of the contracting parties are mem# here of this church.The occasion was trnly an enjoyable affair, after the ceremony a bountiful dinner waa served, which spoke wall of the ability of the young ladies in domestic duties. Mr, Smith’s sister oame from Chicago to attend the marriage of her brother. All join in wishing these young people’s journey, like this spring, April day, full of sunshine.
