Mrs. Thomas Card, Jr. and Mrs. George Bell entertained with a pink and blue shower Sat urday afternoon, April 20th, hon oring Mrs. John Sweem of Las Cruces, the former Carol Den nis. Seventeen guests were pres ent. Refreshments were served from a table laid with a pink net covering over a pink taffeta cloth. The central decoration was a doll’s bassinet of pink with a blue net hood and ruffles, and filled with pink blossoms, with a pink bird resting on the hood. Rooms throughout the house fur ther carried out the shower theme with pink flowers and birds. The honoree received many beautiful and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hassman of Hachita and son Corky were ie Miss Donna Bell thas been ill with the flu. It often turns out that the girl who insisted she would not marry the best man on earth proves her statement in a big way.
