Melody, which said Warranty Deed la recorded In the Recorder's Office of said Lake County on October 21, 1121, In Book 2*8 of Deeda, on page 8 thereof; that said lot la situated in the South East Quarter ot Section Twenty-one, In Township Forty-five North, or Range Twelve East of the Third Principal Meridian, which said Governmental Subdivision was granted to the County of Lake in said State ot Ullnoie, by the United States, by Letters Patent thereof recorded in the Recorder's office of Lake County, Illinois, on March 12, 1818, in Book E of Records, on page 387 thereof; that a Subdivision of said South East quarter was made, and a plat thereof recorded In the Recorder's Office of said Lake County on May 28, 1811, In Book A of Records, on page M thereof by Nelson Landon, Charles H. Betaford, Deputy Clerk.Supervisor Webb moved to refer the report to the Committee on Settlement with the Circuit Clerk.Motion carried.Mr. John Barrett of Prairie View, Illinois, addressed the Board and requested that an appropriation of 2108.80 he made for the Lake County Farmers Institute.Supervisor Obee moved that the matter he referred to the Finance Committee.Motion carried.Bupwvisor Burke submitted the following report:8TATB OF ILLINOISCOUNTY OF LAKEBOARD OF SUPERVISORS, MARCH SESSION 1*23.March 2, 1(23. Mr. Chairman and Gentlemen of the Board of Supervisors:Your County Fair and Fanners Institute Committee and the Flaan-v Committee, to whom was referred the matter of an appropriation to the lAhe County Fair Association, beg leave to report that they have held conferences with the officers of the Lake County Fair Association and have consulted with the State's Attorney of Lake County, la regard to the matter and are advised that the Board of Supervisors in Counties under Township organisation, shall hava power to appropriate funda to be used for Education or Agriculture Exhibits at the County Fair, held In the Connty; provided however that the amount so appropriated shall not exceed the sum of Three Hundred Dollars (230000) in any one year (Chapter 34 Paragraph 188) Illinois Revised Sta' ites 1*21.We would therefore recommend that the sum of Three Hundred Dollars (2388.00) be appropriated to the Lake County Fair Association In ac-cordsnce with a provision of the Statutes above referred to.FRANK BURKE CHA8. Webb—18.Those absent and not voting are Sapervieon Efinger, Eichler, Hutton, Kelley, Larson, Mawman, Obee, V*r-Saperrisor Eger moved to lay the report over until tomorrow morning Motion carried.Supervisor Klrschner presented the following resolution and moved Its adoption.WHEREAS, the greatest program of hard road construction ever undertaken by any state in the union, Las been successfully and economically carried on by Governor Len Small, evidenced hy the construction this past year alone of seven hundred miles, and,WHEREAS, we have complete confidence In his business sad executive ability the program, with a saving to the tax-pay erg,- In spite of opposition * on -- - ■----puu uor, anu ou uw*u ur UiuMsw -right exista In said Lake County to claim tho ownership of said lot, and by reason of the fact thpt said omission ot said conveyance to said Milton Shieldd clouds the title of your petitioner to said premises.Your petitioner prays that the said County of Lake will cause to be conveyed to him by proper deed thereof such outstanding title or interest may now exist in the said County of Lake.And your petitioner will ever pray, etc..CHARLES JACOBS.Dated February 1, 1923.Supervisor Murphy moved that the petition be referred to the Swamp Lands Committee.Motion carried.Lewis O. Brockway, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Ex-offlcio Recorder, submitted the following report.TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.THE UNDERSIGNED, Clerk of the Circuit Court and ex-officio Recorder of said Lake County, would respectfully report the following receipts and expenditures of my office from June 5, 1922, to December 2, 1922, Inclusive.WHEREAS, there Is crystallising fn the Legislature a plan to raise |100,-000,000 by a bond Issue for the construction of hard roads In Illinois, to be paid solely from automobile licenses without the contribution of a penny from the general taxes of the people, automoidle licenses having Increased 7400 per cent in the last twelve years, andWHEREAS, It will be a wonderful honor to the State of Illinois to lead the Union In hard road construction, and of enormous benefit to the ever Increasing body of road users of this State,THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RE SOLVED, that we, the Supervisors of Lake County, representing 75,000 men. Tomes and children, do hereby commend Governor Small for his efficient and far-sighted administration of road building in the State ot Illinois, and we further endorse his plans for the raising of an additional 2100,-000,000 by a bond iasue to be paid for by automobile license fees, andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of this Board Bhali Bend a copy of this resolution to the State Senator from this District, and the
