W, H. Farnsworth Lost His Property Claimed to be. Worth About 18,000.( -NEAR PROPERTY SAVED. U: 'JJThe Kerr Avncue Hotel, at Arcadia, ■ Montgomery township, was totally de- ■ stroyed by fire on Saturday, April 15. W. H, Farswor.b, the proprietor of the hotel was the only person present when the fire started. The dames hacf not gained much headway ; when discovered. IiThe Arcadia fire company succeeded ; in keening the fire from spreading to i adjacent buildings, but could do nothing! towards saving the hotel itself. The j loss will be somewhere in the vicinity!' of $8,000.Tne building was insured in an agency at Barnesboro. The Insurance inspectors have looked over the the ruins of the building but aa yet have not made any report as to the origin of the fire.W. H, Farsworth has made application a number of times for a license to sell liquor at his hotel but has been turned down by Judge S. J. Telford, upon the weight of remonstrances by the citizens of Montgomery township, jNo theory as to the cause of the firq i has been advanced.
