Officers wives of the Fifth Mis sile Battalion combined a guided tour of the local Nike site with a card party on Friday night to benefit the Army Distaff Founda tion. As guests arrived at the ent rance to the Battery area, they were escorted by members of A Battery on a tour of the base and then conducted to the mess hall where the Army wives served cof fee and cookies. Following re freshments, an official movie was shown, depicting the development of a Nike Hercules missile battery from the designing of the missile to the actual firing of the battery. Capt. Charles Merriam, Battery commander, invited all townspeo ple to visit the site on May 21, when the Battery will observe Armed Forces Day by holding open house. Mrs. J. Alfred Dubuc, chairman of the local Distaff Foundation Committee, welcomed the guests and introduced Lt. Col. Charles R. Arvin, battalion com mander, who thanked those pres ent for supporting such a worth while cause. Enjoying their card games for the remainder of the evening were: Mrs. Rita Mankosa, Mrs. Joe Beam, Mrs. Herman Johnson, Mrs. Robert Delaney, Harriett L.
