E. Howard Cadle, of Indianap lis, who turned from his fate as a penniless gambler to cobbling shoes and took an oath to devote any money he might accumulate to religious work, stepped out yesterday as a di rector of the Cadle Tabernacle, which he erected for reform purposes. Cadle demanded that the associa tion controlling the tabernacle dis charge Joe Overmeyer, director of the choir, and resigned when his request was refused. Cadle and Overmeyer have not worked in harmony since Ov ermeyer resigned publicly from the Ku Klux Klan. Cadle denies, how ever, that this is the cause.
