Prom 1852 until 1858, ‘ she alleges, James M. Smith lived with her uncle, Anderson Smith, of 'Clarke county.SAYS SHE IS SMITH’S COUSIN.Mrs.. Massey states that James M. Smith often visited at her mothor’s home during his stay in Athens, and that during the civil war he came there peddling jugware, thread, and; tinware; that during his stay he com-ohined of his eyesight, stating that vib;tltledlt;V;tlmRlhe could hardly see at night. The deponent also. testified to the wen being on the neck of the alleged Jim Smith. She swears positively that the late millionaire was'tho illegitimate son of her aunt, Sallie. She also alleged that it was reported that her father’s brother, Jessie Mathew u Dalton, was the father of Jim Smith, 11( which would make the deponent a' double first cousin of the millionaire, if her statements were true.The intervention was filed through Judge H. H. Perry, and Mr. W. A. Charter, of Gainesville; Attorneys W.D. Martin, G. P. Martin, W. A. Stevenson, W. W. Stark and E. C. Stark, of- Commerce.Besides Mrs. Amanda Massey in this new set of claimants are J. T. Dalton, of Jackson county: Mrs. Emma Crow, Mary Dslton, Mattie Powers, W. R. Arflin, E. M. Dalton, George W. Smith, Thomas G. Smith, Mrs. Lizsie Hobson, James B. Smith, Abe Dalton, Mrs. Laura A.
