It had been raining and thundering and lightning all the morning. Suddenly It turned dark and the wind began to blow, though no funnel-eha^ed cloud sphered.The school children 200 In number were all In the class rooms when the storm appeared. Profesaor Cranberry was In the large room upstairs wltn his class, but as soon as It turned to dark he carried the children down stairs where there were several class rooms. $The wind raised the building into the air and the teachers and pupils, who by this time had assembled In the lower ball, were all thrown to the floor, but fortimaWy. no one was seriously hurt. The building was thrown from its foundations and was so badly damaged that It is feared that a new structure will have to be built. School closed probably for term.
