TIMEWELL, TIL, April 23.—Ed Peto fish, of Virginia, Il, was here over Sunday. He owns a farm adjoining town. Mrs. Eliza Childers, who has been vis iting near Bowen for the past week returned Monday. Silas Hodgson and faily of Clayton, visited over Sunday with his father, Jesse Hunter, of Columbus, was here on business, . Mrs. James Moffett, of Clayton, visit ed Mrs. George Bradney. Hodgson Bros. are papering over at Golden. H. C. Gazella, of Pala, Iowa, was here Thursday selling threshing ma chine feeders and stackers. George Johnson, Francis Neeland, Everet Nelson attended Sunday school convention at East St. Louis last week. Allen Fumwalt, who is being treated at Prince's sanitarium at Springfield, spent Sunday at home. He is improv ing. Chas. Orton has set his saw mill on Dummes jland north of Clayton. The Home Telephone Co. have their poles ound o wires nearly completed through town. They received a con tract from the Wabash to put wires under the track.
