Preliminary hearing was set yesterday for May 3 for Bobby Weyand, 25, of 111 N. Conley Lane, charged with two counts of writing an insufficient funds check for $4,400 and for $1,402.78 to Missouri Concrete, Mexico Gravel Road, Aug. 10, 1967. Bond was set at $1,000. Gerald William Gola, 26, of 2012 Leway Drive, was fined $100 for careless and reckless driving and $50 for speeding this morning on Interstate 70 at Highway 63 South. Fined for speeding were Paul Estes Burcham, 56, Cedar Rapids, this morning on Highway 63 North, $15; Terry Lee Reed, 19, Kansas City, April 12 on Interstate 70 at Highway 40, $15. Miss Norma Jean Kearney, 22, Sturgeon, this morning on Highway 63 North, $15. Charles Baker, 24, of 506 Wilkes Blvd., was fined $5 for driving without a Missouri operator's license April 14 on Business Loop 70, East. Elma Curtis Stone, 61, of 905 Wilkes Blvd., was fined $5 for failure to transfer licensed plates. He also will appear May 7 on charges of failure to yield the right of way April 14 on Highway 63 North and Route NN. He was released on $25 bond. Police Reports Thomas Dale Diggs, 18, of 1104 Danforth Drive, was ar rested this morning for assault. He reportedly struck Francis W. Field, 2568 McReynolds, at Seventh and Walnut streets. He will appear tomorrow in Municipal Court. A window of a car belonging to Marshall Robinson, St. Louis, was shot out last night while it was parked at Rowe’s Standard Station. Norman Laman, 197 West Broadway, told police someone stole the hubcaps from his car last night while it was parked at his home. George F. Stringer, 18. Hyde Hall, was summoned at $:25 a.m. yesterday at Hitt and Pa quin streets for driving the wrong Way on a one-way street. City Court Charles Baker, 24, of 406 Wilkes Blvd., was fined $10 for having no city sticker. William K. Pyle, 57, Stockton, was fined $20 for following too closely and failure to keep a forward lookout, causing an ac cident yesterday at Business Loop 70 East and Crestland Avenue. Paul S. Russel, 24, Tiger Hotel, was fined $16 for speeding April 10 on Paris Road Near Court Street. A hearing was set May 3 for Thomas Diggs, 18, of 1104 Dan forth Ct., for assault Sunday at Seventh and Walnut streets. A hearing was set May 8 for Carl Timmons, Centralia, for littering April $ on June and Clark lanes. A hearing was set May 15 for Nelson Thompson, 23, of 2301 Whitegate Drive, for interfering with police duties and using March 29 at 211 Waugh St. Indianapolis Council To Meet in Summer INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.
