Members of the Bay County Medical Society and Bay County Bar Association next Tuesday for the first time will meet in joint session to discuss relations between the two professions. The business meeting, to be pre ceded by a buffet dinner, will be held at the Dixie-Sherman Hotel at 7:30 p. m. The local doctors and attorneys will discuss a code of conduct and ethics between the two professions. A movie entitled “The Medical Witness” will be shown. The meeting is in conjunction with a national movement to im prove relations between physicians and lawyers, according to Attorney Bert Davenport and Dr. William D. Carter, co-chairmen of the event. Other committee men in clude Dr. D. M. Adams and Dr. Joe Morris, representing the medi cal society; and Attorneys Earnest Welch, Earnest Collins, and Dayton Logue. Dr. W. C. Roberts, presi dent-elect of the Florida Medical Association, will preside. Doctors and attorneys from sur rounding counties also have been invited to attend the meeting.
