John Griffin, age 54 years, passed away at his home near Weidman, Saturday, April 12. 1947.He was horn November 19, 1892, at Arthur, 111., son of J. V.and Sarah Griffin.He was united in marriage to Marie Stacey August 5. 1917, of Greensburg. Ky. They moved to Weidman twenty-five years ago. To this union were horn James J. and Joyce at home and Janet of Detroit.The body was taken to Remus and later to Hoopston, 111.The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon by the American Legion military of which he wasa member.Besides his wife and three children he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mae Creamer of Hoopston, and Mrs. Sally Oyler of Danville, 111., and two brothers, Lewis and Marion, both of Illinois.
