SERIOUS CUTTING AFFRAYJohn Wesley Stabbed by CarsonKm*? Vast Niiight.*At a late hour last night John Wesley, was very seriously stabbed by Carson King at the home of George Moore, 1031 North Mill street. All are negroes. A-dance was in progress and Wesley was on the floor, but was objected to by King, who claimed to be acting as floor master. Wesley declared he would dance or break up the party, and then King assaulted him viciously with a pocket knife. One stab was made in the'upper pari of the right shoulder and a second and more serious stab oh right side below tub collar bone, probablyVouched the' upper part of the right lung. Wesley said lie was unaware of the attack until he received the firstwound and was making an effort to get# , ••away when the second blow was given.The wounded man was taken to the offices of Drs. Blake more and Thompson, where Dr. Claude Thompson dressed the wound. The man was then removed to hie home.There was evidence that considerable w.hiaky had oeen distributed at theplace and part of the trouble may betraced to that source.Boon after the cutting affray the city authorities were -notified and Officers McStravic andTulk went outand apprehended King. He still had in his poe-• asaion when arrested the knife witji which be had stabbed Wesley.
