AGED BRIDE'S SUDDEN DEATH.%Mrs. Barker May Have Left Fortune to Young Husband.Nyack Depot, N. Y.. April 20.—Mrs. Jane 2. Barker, aged 74 years, who was married at Key West, Fla . March 28. to Cloyd H. Barker, aged 3: years, died suddenly at her home in South Nyack, leaving her young husband, it is believed, her fortune. which * amounts to some $70,000.The woman’s death was as singular as was her marriage two and a half weeks before . She fell out of bed at 5 o’clock in the morning, and when her housekeeper went to see what had happened she found Mrs. Barker lying on the floor dead. She died of heart disease. She had had heart trouble for a long time, and it is supposed she fell out of bed in her sleep and this caused heart failure.Before her marriage to Mr. Barker she was Mrs. Jane E. Kowald. While staying in Key West last month for her health she met Cloyd H. Barker, whom she had known a few months before. He proposed that they get married. The woman consented. They were married at midnight of March 28 at the Crillon house, Key West. It was reported that the woman had transferred her property, amounting to over $70,000. to Barker. The young husband the morning after the marriage left for Tan pa and his wife of I 74 years came direct to her home in South Nyack. Her husband had not visited her since she arrived at Nyack.
