Christian Coy, area residentChristian Coy Jr., 66, of Plymouth, died Thursday, April 11 at Mercy Hospital, Willard following a brief illness. vA j'JrBom Sept. 15, 1929 in Norwalk, he had lived in Olena, Norwalk, North Fairfield and Plymouth all of his life.He was an electrician for 22 years at Wappler Instruments, now Circon-ACMI, in Norwalk, retiring in 1991. He attended the Church of God in Shelby and was a member of the Bronson-Norwalk Conservation Club, and Allied Industrial Workers Union Local 718. He enjoyed fishing, electronics and antique engine shows.Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Parker) Coy; his mother, Gertrude (Conrad) Coy of Norwalk; three daughters, Katrina Shepard ofWillard, Brenda Stookey of Whites Landing and Linda Lewis of Republic; four sons, David Coy ofSandusky, Russell Scriver of North Fairfield, Dennis Scriver of Clyde and Kevin Coy of Plymouth; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Robert Coy, both of Norwalk; four sisters, Beverly Peckham and Betty Mantz, both of Norwalk, Evelyn Mainline and Geraldine Griffin, both of North Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Christian Coy Sr.; a daughter, Donna Coy in infancy; grandchildren Carolyn Stookey and Kenneth Lewis; a sister, Ruth Coy in infancy; and a brother, William Coy in infancy.Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
