Obituary: Charles E. BrittonCharles E. Britton of North Liberty died Wednesday morning, April 9 at University Hospital after a brief illness. He was 63.Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14 at the George L. Gay Funeral Home with the Rev. C harles Downing officiating. Burial was in West Branch Cemetery. M emorial donations may be made to the Charles E. Britton Memorial Fund.Mr. Britton was born June 4, 1923, in Grundy County, Tenn., a son of Gilliam and Martha Henry Britton. He worked as a janitor for the Johnson CountyCare Facility. He was a member of the Coralville American Legion Walter Johnson Post No. 721.Survivors include four daughters, Anna Howe of J asper, Tenn.; June Nolan of Cleveland, Ohio; Joy Shrum and Glenda Sanders, both of Palmer, Tenn.; three sons, Charles and Tony, both of Palmer, Tenn. and Justin of West Branch; four sisters and three brothers. Three brothers died earlier.
