Pair of unidentified bodies found on Connecticut farmNEW HAVEN, Conn. lt;AP — The FBI announced Thursday the discovery of two unidentified bodies on property formerly owned by James P. Pardue, who was indicted in a 1970 bank robbery and series of bombings in Danbury, Conn.The FBI said the bodies of a man and woman were found Wednesday on land once owned by Pardue in Calvert County, Md., near Lusby. The recovery of the bodies was based on information developed during investigation of bank robberies in Missouri and Connecticut, the FBI saidA spokesman for the FBI said investigations of the bank rob-eries revealed that the Franklin County, Mo., sheriff’s office had a missing persons complaint on John Russell Pardue Sr. and Daisy Link Pardue, the father and grandmother of James Pardue and John R. Par-due Jr. who were indicted in the Banbury bombings and robbery.James Pardue. 23, was confined to a federal mental hospital in Springfield. Mo., after he was found incompetent to stand trail in the Danbury Robbery.His brother. John. 28. was on trial in U.S. District Court at Bridgeport when he was shot during an escape attempt April 8. John Pardue’s wife. Nancy, smuggled a sawed-off rifle into his cell minutes before his trial was to resume, according to police.He remained in critical condition in a Bridgeport hospital Thursday.The robbery of the Union Savings Bank in Danbury Feb. 13. 1970, was sandwiched between three explosions which hit the police station, bank and a car allegedly used in the getaway. About 20 persons were hurt.James Pardue has been indicted in two other bank robberies in Missouri, where his father and grandmother ljved in a farm house five nults west of Union, Mo.He has been indicted in the connection with the May 1969robbery of $80.(MX) from a Pacific. Mo., bank and the November 1969 robberyof $18,000 from the Union Bank in Union, Mo.The Union robbery occurred minutes after a bomb exploded in the Franklin County Courthouse wrecking the sheriff's communications center and injuring about 10 persons.John Russell Pardue Sr. was last seen Nov. 12, 1969. in a St. Louis. Mo., shopping center. The elder Pardue. a 54-year-old retired oil company engineer, and his 80-year-old mother lived together near Union, Mo.
