That monster.most often described as a huge bird with a tremendous wing-span and fiery eyes, apparently has left the area after being repeatedly seen for a number ofweeks. In the latest UFO sighting. Plantzs reported that the five objects, in a cluster formation, circled about 400 feet inthe air. They came out of the cluster formation and formed a straight line, heading northward about one mile apart, then circled and went across the Ohio River and out of sight The objects were in sight for approximately 15minutes.Witnesses said there were two red lights, one a bright red circular type and the other stationary. They said ihe objects sometimes were so near the groundthat trees obscured the view. There was no detect! ble sound All the witnesses agreed that‘cts, whatever t h e y npu have been, definitely were not airplanes.Meanwhile, three Mason County Civil Defense workers a »ert they have “solved” some of the recent sightings in the Point Pleasant area. After taking a flight over the area Thursday night, the men conethat the sightings resulted from lights on the front, wings andrear of a commercial airliner.Richard Newell, Carl Sibley and Lou Mueller said an Allegheny Airlines plane goes over the area between 8 10 and 8:50 p mnightly. However, their conclusions immediately were challenged by persons who have reported seeing UFOs. These believers said that they were aware of commercial flights in the area, but that the UFOs were soundless and occurred at different times. UFOs also are disc-shaped instead of having the configurations of airplanes. So the mystery, now six months old, continues without aplausible explanation.
